So before we left the hospital a lady came to talk and fill out medicade for us since our insurance won't kick in until August. Luckily she gave us a voucher for his meds, otherwise they would have expected us to pay $430! Ouch! We had to get set up with a Pediatrician for a follow up on Friday too which came with a $127 co-pay. Owie again. Oh and we got his LifeFlight bill. $11,000. Which actually isn't as much as I thought it was going to be! However, I'm not stressing out. I know we'll get it all figured out with financial assistance and what not.
But Rockwell is doing so much better. He's really just his normal self now. We give him breathing treatments with a inhaler thing that looks like this:
The actual inhaler hooks on to the back of it. This is a billion times easier than the nebulizer!! He's also on a couple of other things to keep it under control. We'll also be calling an asthma specialist this week to see what we can do about getting him in. This whole ordeal was the scariest/worst thing that has ever happened to us. We just want to do everything we can so he doesn't end up in a hospital ever again!
But really my friends, thank you so much. Thank you for caring, facebooking me, texting me, calling. You are the best! Rockwell got so many stuffed animals and blankets and other gifts. He loves them all! He was definitely the most spoiled kid in the PICU! We love you guys!!
So I think thats it for now, I'm sure I'll blog about follow up stuff. but just know that we are home and Rock is doing great. So grateful for all the prayers that were answered. Even if no one else really knew what we were going through, Heavenly Father did and we knew that the whole time. We had so much comfort. While I was in the hospital I would watch little videos on my camera of him playing and laughing and I just wanted that back so bad. Now we have it and he's getting lots of attention!! We love you Rock!

Sometimes its hard not to stress over the money but honestly the important thing is that he is better & finally at home!!! Like you said you will figure it out. That inhaler looks pretty cool it sounds a lot better than a neulbizer.
Do you want my asthma doctor's number? He is amazing and has kept me alive for all these years. I started seeing him when I was 2 and have been hospitalized for pneumonia a couple of times. I still see him every 6 months.
